Of special note, the annual ESP Anniversary dinner will not be held on Barrel Tasting Weekend this year. For our most valued customers that have attended over the past 13 years, watch the website for details of a new and updated event that will be held later this year.

Join us for one of our great events for a fabulous adventure in wine!  Most of our events are open to the public, but make sure to read the details as we do have events that require tickets or are by invitation only.  We are affiliated with both the Columbia Valley Winery Association and Wine Yakima Valley and many of our events are supported by these two organizations.

APRIL

Spring Barrel Tasting on April 25 - 26, 2008

(These are 2006 details.  Stay tuned for 2008 update)

It’s spring time and that means Seth Ryan Winery is pleased to be gearing up for Wine Yakima Valley’s Barrel Tasting Weekend and we will be open from 10 am to 6 pm all three days.

This year for the first time, Seth Ryan will be charging all participants a $5 tasting fee. That fee will allow you to choose and taste from all wines, including the 2000 Red Mountain Reserve Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as the barrel sample of Syrah. The Syrah will be a blend of wine from three types of French barrels.  In exchange for this tasting fee, all wine purchases will be discounted an additional 10%.

Our great volunteer staff will provide spirited conversations, and the management will have tantalizing tidbits for your palate. We will have an assortment of breads, dipping oils, cheeses, and pâté that will be available throughout the day.

As has been our custom, Wine Tasting will be in the barrel room to allow for plenty of room for the crowds. You will enter through the back door to accommodate the flow. Our Tasting Room will be used only as the salesroom for the weekend. In addition to our wines, we feature a wide assortment of bread dipping oils, unusual vinegars, unique sauces and spreads, Baum’s Candies made with Seth Ryan Merlot and Chardonnay, and an outstanding selection of wine themed gifts. We take pride in offering the best prices in the valley as a courtesy to our customers.

Yakima Valley wineries have added a new dimension to wine country harvest. Savor the Art features a combination of art and wine and provides visitors another aspect of wine country touring.

Artists from all over Washington State have paired with Yakima Valley wineries to display their art in the tasting rooms of Yakima Valley / Red Mountain wineries. The event will create an artisans atmosphere throughout all of wine country. Visitors can sample and purchase wine and art throughout the month of October.
